We’re back with episode 120 of the Weekly Dartscast! Co-hosts Alex Moss and Burton DeWitt are joined by special guests Matt Porter and Jose de Sousa on this week’s show!
The team review a busy last week in the PDC, which saw two mid-week Players Championships and the International Darts Open at the weekend.
Alex and Burton discuss whether Gerwyn Price’s victory in Riesa on Sunday has come at the right time, heading into a stacked final three months of the season, and if, after another final defeat, tournaments with multi-game final days are a problem for Sunday’s runner-up Rob Cross.
The team also look back on the two Players Championship events in Barnsley last week, and discuss the two winners, Jose de Sousa and James Wade.
It’s set to be an important weekend on the PDC ProTour this weekend, with the last two events before the cut-off for the World Grand Prix. Alex and Burton predict which players could sneak into the 32-player field for Dublin.
This week’s podcast sees the team joined by two guests. First, PDC chief executive Matt Porter calls in to discuss all things PDC, including the recent 2020 calendar announcement, next year’s Premier League and World Series, and more.
Then, just days after becoming the first Portuguese player to win a PDC ranking event, Jose de Sousa joins us on the show to relive that historic win last week, his first year as a tour card holder and his journey to this point.
