We’re back with episode 90 of the Weekly Dartscast!
Co-hosts Alex Moss and Burton DeWitt start the show by reviewing the 2019 BetVictor Masters, which saw Michael van Gerwen beat James Wade 11-5 in the final to win the title for a fifth straight year.
The team discuss whether the world number one can hit the 20 title mark again in 2019, who his biggest rivals will be this season and what they made of the drop in quality in the event compared to two years ago.
We also look back at the 2019 BAUHAUS Dutch Open, the biggest open darts tournament in the world, which saw Richard Veenstra and Mikuru Suzuki claim the titles for the first time. The team discuss whether Suzuki has stolen the title of best ladies player from Lisa Ashton.
The team finish the show by looking ahead to the start of the 2019 Unibet Premier League and give their thoughts on the PDC’s decision to introduce nine ‘contenders’ to replace the injured Gary Anderson.
The team then give their picks for the first week of action in Newcastle. Join the team on Twitter in making your predictions to be in with a chance of winning a signed set of James Wade darts, courtesy of Unicorn.
