Weekly Dartscast Episode 280: Luke Humphries, Steve Beaton, Ben Robb, PDC World Championship Preview Special

Co-hosts Alex Moss and Burton DeWitt are back with a new episode ahead of the PDC World Championship.

Luke Humphries (12:29) calls in and discusses his breakthrough season, winning four titles on the European Tour, as well as his deep runs in the last three majors to reach a career high ranking of number five in the world, becoming a dad during a busy end to 2022, and his hopes for Ally Pally.

Steve Beaton (44:23) stops by and discusses his upcoming record consecutive 32nd appearance in a World Championship, and looks back at his last two seasons, playing the opening night at Ally Pally in 2020 with a limited crowd, last year’s tussle with Fallon Sherrock in the first round, and his aims heading into another year on tour in 2023.

Ben Robb (1:06:16) joins us and discusses his career in darts so far, how he got into the game by chance and then playing on the World Series stage just three years later, qualifying for his first two PDC World Championships, his impressive haul of titles in 2022, winning the DPNZ Qualifier to book another appearance at Ally Pally, and opening the tournament against Mickey Mansell on Thursday night.
