Weekly Dartscast Episode 273: Diogo Portela, Dan Dawson, Players Championship Reviews, European Championship Preview

Co-hosts Alex Moss and Burton DeWitt are back with a new episode ahead of the European Championship.

Alex and Burton start this week’s show with a look back at last week’s block of four Players Championship events, and discuss Josh Rock’s maiden ProTour title win as well as another title for Rob Cross.

Then, PDC commentator Dan Dawson (15:00) calls in to the show to review the season so far, including a return to a full European Tour schedule, as well as look ahead to this weekend’s European Championship.

Alex and Burton continue the show with their preview of the European Championship, assess Michael van Gerwen’s chances of winning a third straight TV ranking title, and also make a tip on who comes through the top half of the draw.

Next, Brazil’s number Diogo Portela (48:03) stops by after recently winning the Central & South America Qualifier to earn a return to Alexandra Palace in December. Diogo talks through a nerve-jangling final day of the qualifier in Costa Rica, which saw him have to win a play-off to come out on top, and also looks at the current darts scene in South America as well as where his own game is right now.
