Weekly Dartscast Episode 249: Trina Gulliver, Devon Petersen, Euro Tour and Women’s Series Reviews

Co-hosts Alex Moss and Burton DeWitt are back with a new episode after a busy weekend of darts.

First, Alex and Burton look back on the weekend’s action in Austria, where Michael van Gerwen won the Austrian Darts Open. Alex and Burton discuss MVG’s chances of winning the World Matchplay this summer, as well as rate Danny Noppert, Sunday’s runner-up, and van Gerwen’s chances of winning the World Cup next month.

Then, Devon Petersen (12:37) calls in to look back on his last 18 months since his breakthrough win on the European Tour, making his first major semi-final, the injury which forced him to change his throw, and also going back home to South Africa to launch his own academy last month.

Next, Alex and Burton turn their focus to the PDC Women’s Series, and reflect on Trina Gulliver’s title win on Saturday, as well as pick out who else impressed in Wigan.

Also, Trina Gulliver (39:45) joins us to look back on winning her first PDC Women’s Series title at the weekend, as well as reflect on her comeback so far, including playing in the first World Seniors Championship earlier this year.
