Weekly Dartscast Episode 247: Martin Lukeman, Dan Dawson, Scott Hunt, Euro Tour Review

Co-hosts Alex Moss and Burton DeWitt are back with a new episode after the German Darts Grand Prix.

First, Alex and Burton look back on the weekend’s action in Munich and a first European Tour title for Luke Humphries. Our co-hosts discuss who will be the next first-time major winner in the PDC, and also wonder how far runner-up Martin Lukeman can go this year.

Then, Martin Lukeman (14:51) calls in to look back on his stunning run to the final in Munich, talk through his career in darts so far, his first year with a PDC tour card last year, and lots more.

Next, Alex and Burton turn their focus to the Premier League and assess last week’s champion James Wade’s chances of winning the play-offs, and also discuss Gerwyn Price’s change of walk on and hopes of making a late push for the play-offs.

Also, PDC commentator Dan Dawson (40:19) stops by to talk all things darts, including the sad passing of fellow commentator Nigel Pearson last week, the recent World Seniors and WDF World Championships, and Andrew Gilding’s run to a Players Championship final earlier this month.

Plus, the ADC’s head of global operations Scott Hunt (1:09:41) joins us ahead of the opening weekend of the Winmau Championship Tour next week. Scott chats about the rebrand from MAD to ADC in December, the first four months of the ADC since the rebrand, the focus on technology in amateur darts, working with Darts Atlas, and his hopes for the next 12 months.
